Prashanti

Prashanti, the healing Centre grew out of a Cancer Survivor’s need for non-intrusive therapy to overcome the trauma of cancer and its treatment. The generous offer of premises by the Lala Diwan Chand Trust enabled the Indian Cancer Society, Delhi to bring the dream to fruition. Prashanti started functioning as the Healing Centre of the Society to which was added the Breast Cancer Rehab Center and has today grown into a full fledged Diagnostic Center also in its brand new premises at 11/70 Vikram Vihar, Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi
Prashanti is a Centre of non-intrusive Complementary Therapies for Cancer patients and their care givers and is the only one of its kind in India. It is a non-profit organization providing free therapies to under privileged patients. The comprehensive programme designed with a holistic approach, provides supportive, complementary cancer care for all cancer patients, to make them feel better physically, psychologically, socially and emotionally . The long-term involvement of busy therapists in giving regular time and effort to give relief through their ministrations is laudable where many kinds of therapies are on offer. These include Pranayama, Yoga, Laughter Therapy, Reiki, Reflexology, Massage, Visualization, Guided Meditation and Acupressure
