YOUWECAN, the cancer initiative founded by ace national cricketer Yuvraj Singh announces support for Indian Cancer Society’s Free Screening Month program. Indian Cancer Society under this initiative invites the residents of Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai toavail free primary cancer screening at their Cancer Detection Centres. The Delhi residents can visit at 42 Babar Road, Bengali Market from 10th September to 10th October 2013 to avail this program. Speaking about the initiative, Yuvraj Singh, Founder YOUWECAN said, “YouWeCan is here to generate awareness and facilitate early Detection of Cancer. By joining hands with Indian Cancer Society, our mission just got fast and wide. I am glad to support this noble initiative by ICS and I request people to come ahead and opt for this free screening.”

Indian Cancer Society which is the oldest community based volunteer organization works on the principal of awareness and primary screening, as well as providing emotional and medical support to patients affected and afflicted by cancer. Jyotsna Govil, Hon. Secretary,Indian Cancer Society commented, “ICS will be taking its mobile unit to various slums and provide screening to the hitherto unreached. This initiative by ICS in Delhi, Mumbai & Bangalore has been through a partnership with the Yuvraj Singh Foundation.We strongly believe this move is an attempt towards creating a cancer free environment and a person like Yuvraj Singh, a cancer survivor himself is a great inspiration for all to step up and be a part of this environment.” Yuvraj SinghFoundation under its initiative YOUWECANand ICS share the same vision, that prevention is always better than waiting for the disease to strike. YOUWECAN will be sponsoring this initiative under YouWeCan-Indian Cancer Society banner. This screening will cover as much as possible people in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore under the aegis of Indian Cancer Society. YOUWECAN has been extending its wings across the country. YOUWECAN in association with Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals launched the first Mobile Cancer Screening Unit dedicated to undertake cancer screening programs at various locations in the state last year and till February 2013 this unit has screened over a thousand people and about a hundred have been diagnosed with cancer.
